The Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) is part of the organizational structure of the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama (INCAP).
Providing independent, timely and competent assessments and ethical - methodological design of research studies.
Performing project evaluations from independent researchers, research institutes, cooperation agencies, academics and other entities from the Member Countries of INCAP.
The work of IEC is based on the basic principles of ethical behavior and is consistent with the Standards of Conduct for the International Civil Service, the Charters of United Nations and the Organization of American States.
